Welcome to Evie’s Cabs Limited. By booking or using our private hire taxi services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

• “Company”, “We”, “Us” refers to Evie’s Cabs Limited, a UK-licensed private hire operator.
• “Passenger”, “You” refers to the customer or any person travelling in a vehicle operated by Evie’s Cabs Limited.
• “Driver” refers to the licensed private hire driver allocated to your booking.
• “Booking” means the reservation of a journey with Evie’s Cabs Limited.

2. Bookings

1. Bookings must be made in advance via our phone line or official website.
2. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation message (verbal, text, or email) from us.
3. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion (e.g. abusive behaviour, unsafe conditions, repeated no-shows).

3. Fares & Payment

1. Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and any applicable surcharges (e.g. waiting time, tolls, late-night fees).
2. All quoted fares are estimates unless a fixed fare is agreed in advance.
3. Payment is due at the end of the journey unless prepaid. We accept cash or card payment directly with the driver.
4. Receipts are available upon request.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

1. Passengers must notify us of cancellations as soon as possible.
2. Cancellations made less than [e.g. 30 minutes] before the scheduled pick-up time may incur a cancellation fee.
3. Prepaid fares may be refunded at our discretion, subject to deduction of any applicable cancellation charges.

5. Waiting Time & Delays

1. Drivers will wait up to [e.g. 10 minutes] at the pick-up point unless otherwise agreed. After this time, waiting charges may apply.
2. We will make every effort to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off but are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or events beyond our control.

6. Passenger Conduct

1. Passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.
2. Smoking, illegal substances, and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited in all vehicles.
3. Passengers must not behave in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe manner towards drivers or other passengers.
4. Any damage to the vehicle caused by a passenger may result in charges for cleaning or repairs.

7. Luggage & Personal Belongings

1. Passengers are responsible for their luggage and personal items.
2. We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings carried in our vehicles.
3. Drivers may refuse to carry items that are unsafe, illegal, or excessive in size/weight.

8. Liability

1. The Company accepts no responsibility for missed flights, trains, or other connections due to delays beyond our control.
2. Our maximum liability to any passenger shall not exceed the cost of the journey booked.
3. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Accessibility & Assistance

1. We aim to provide accessible services for all passengers, including those with disabilities.
2. Assistance dogs are carried free of charge in accordance with UK law.
3. Please notify us in advance if you require additional assistance.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

1. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
2. Personal data provided for bookings will only be used to provide our services and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
